"The aim of the Waterbouwprijs is to bring renewed energy to hydraulic engineering and put it on the radar of young people. Each year, the Vereniging van Waterbouwers (Association of Dutch Hydraulic Engineers) gives students graduating in Hydraulic Engineering (or related fields of study) at the applied sciences (hbo) or academic (wo) level the opportunity to enter their graduation project for the annual Waterbouwprijs."
